Back to SearchA special meeting of Council was scheduled for the morning of Monday, July 21, 2025, following a formal call by the Mayor on Thursday, July 17, 2025, in accordance with the Township’s Procedural By-law. The meeting agenda was prepared and properly distributed to all members of Council.
The Mayor, along with municipal staff, attended the meeting as scheduled. As the Mayor began to open the meeting, the Clerk inquired whether any other members of Council were present, either in-person at the Wolfe Island Community Building, as councillors were not in attendance at the Howe Island Chambers or attending virtually. It was confirmed that no other members of Council were in attendance.
In compliance with the Township's Procedural By-law, the Mayor and staff waited the prescribed 15-minute grace period to allow for the arrival of additional members. As quorum was not achieved, the meeting was adjourned without proceeding to the business outlined on the agenda.
