The Wolfe Islander IV will be returning to service on May 20, 2025, and will provide service on an 80-minute round trip schedule between Marysville dock and Kingston.

Where to board the ferry

Kingston Terminal:

  • passengers can board the ferry at the Kingston Terminal on 295 Ontario Street

Wolfe Island Dock:

  • Until 2:00 a.m. May 20, 2025: Dawson Point
  • Beginning 5:00 a.m. May 20, 2025: Marysville

Runs on demand and takes about 10 minutes per crossing. Goes from Wolfe Island to Simcoe Island.

Simcoe Island Ferry Hours

The Ferry Runs on Demand Between the Following Hours:

Monday to Thursday – 5:45 a.m. to 12:15 a.m.

Friday – 5:45 a.m. to 1:15 a.m.

Saturday – 6:00 a.m. to 1:15 a.m.

Sunday – 6:00 a.m. to 12:15 a.m.

Transient Fares: Cyclist  – $2.00 per trip Single Car – $10.00 round trip Truck – $20.00 round trip

The Howe Island County Ferry departs from the base of Joyceville Road connecting to Howe Island Drive on the west end. Operates on demand and takes approximately 8 minutes per crossing. It is run by the County of Frontenac in conjunction with the Ministry of Transportation.

Fees shall only be collected when vehicles are coming onto Howe Island from either the County or Township operated ferry.

* These discounted fees apply to applicants who can show documentation indicating that they are 65 years of age or older during 2025.

** A second pass for $100.00 will only be available if the second vehicle involved is registered to:

The same individual who purchased the first full-price 2025 annual pass.

An individual who is married to or is in a common-law relationship with the full-price 2025 annual pass purchaser.

The dependent child under the age of 18 of a full-price 2025 annual pass purchaser or the full-price pass purchaser’s married or common-law spouse.

The dependent child over the age of 18 of a full-price 2025 annual pass purchaser or the full-price pass purchaser’s married or common-law spouse, only if the dependent child has both the same permanent address as the full-price 2024 annual pass purchaser and is attending school full-time.

Friends and Family One Book of 10 tickets can be sold for a price of $75.00 per pass holder

Howe Islander Dock –Township (Foot) Ferry

2991 Howe Island Drive

Departs from the base of Howe Island Drive to the mainland just west of Gananoque. Operates on demand and takes approximately 3 minutes per crossing. It is run by the Township of Frontenac Islands in conjunction with the Ministry of Transportation. Hours of Operation Daily from 6:30 am to midnight 30 minute break daily at 11:15 a.m. and 7:15 p.m.

Regular maintenance occurs on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
