Public Notice – Road Resurfacing Work
Please be advised that road resurfacing activities commenced on August 19, 2025, along Road 96. The scope of work covers approximately 10 km, beginning in the vicinity of the 9th Line and continuing eastward.
During this period, motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians are reminded to exercise extreme caution when traveling through the construction zone, as sections of the roadway may be uneven and subject to active construction.

Fire Ban Status

Total Fire Ban in Effect
Effective immediately, the Township of Frontenac Islands has issued a Full Burn Ban due to the dry conditions.
No open air burning of any kind, including campfires, burn barrels and cooking fires. Fireworks are also not permitted. Appliances equipped with a shut off mechanism such as propane-fueled barbecue are still permitted.
Township of Frontenac Islands Fire and Rescue personnel will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed.
