Township of Frontenac Islands Launches
2026 Budget Survey to Gather Community Input
The Township’s annual budget process is underway to prepare the Draft 2026 Budget and this year the Township is launching a community survey to gather input from residents on their opinions and priorities related to the municipal budget. The survey is now open and will close on October 17. The survey results will be taken into consideration as the Draft Budget is being finalized.

Extended Shuttle Bus Hours Wolfe Island

Through October 10, 2025, shuttle bus service between Dawson Point and Marysville will operate on the following schedule while ferry service continues from Dawson Point:
- Monday to Thursday: 0710h to 1930h
- Friday: 0710h to midnight (extended hours)
- Saturday: 0810h to midnight (extended hours)
- Sunday: 0810h to 1930h

Project Overview
Further to the Notice of Study Commencement distributed in January 2024, D.M. Wills Associates Limited has been retained by the Ministry of Transportation, to complete the Detail Design for the Structural Rehabilitation of the Howe Island Ferry Terminals. The rehabilitation work will generally include the replacement of the loading ramps and repairs to the existing timber cribs at each ferry terminal location (mainland and island).

Cataraqui Conservation and the Low Water Response Team have elevated the low water condition today from Level 1 to Level 3 for the Cataraqui Watershed due to very dry conditions and lack of rain fall.
